Michelle Powell

Michelle Powell is a mother of four and a sixteen-year educator. She has a bachelor’s of English Education for the secondary level from Winthrop University and a Masters in Educational Administration.

Michelle has taught all levels of high school English, AP English, and Teacher Cadet. Her first five years were at Lancaster High School in Lancaster, SC and her remaining years have been at Dreher High School in Columbia, SC.

Michelle was a Richland One School District Teacher of the Year finalist in 2014-2015 and an American Legion Teacher of the Year in 2021-2022.

Outside of work, Michelle and her husband Mark are busy parents to their wonderful four children.
